UAAP Season 74 officially started!
Athletes from the 15 sports in the University Athletic Association of he Philippines (UAAP) calendar basked in the limelight and enjoyed equal space with the more popular basketball players as the league kicked off its Season 74 amid heavy rains at the Marikina Sports Park.
Around 3,700 student-athletes from the eight member universities, holding umbrellas signifying their respective school colors, still went about their parade with high spirits despite the downpour.

FEU defeats La Salle
Far Eastern University won over De La Salle University, 74-65, in the opening game of the UAAP Season 74 men’s basketball tournament at the Araneta Coliseum today.
The FEU Tamaraws were able to seize total control of the foul-marred contest when they forced the La Salle Archers, who had a strong 9-3 start and were able to keep within striking distance, out of their usual game.
RR Garcia, the reigning MVP, scored 17 of his 21 points in the second half for theTamaraws including a baseline cut with 48.9 seconds left that stunned the Green Archers for good.

Ateneo wins over Adamson
Ateneo de Manila University reasserted its longstanding mastery overAdamson University with a 55-51 victory in the main game of the UAAP Season 74 Men’s Basketball competitions at the Araneta Coliseum today.
The towering center and national team member Greg Slaughter was outstanding in his debut for the Blue Eagles as he finished with 23 points and eight rebounds.
The Falcons last won over Ateneo in the UAAP Men’s Basketball in September 18, 1997.

When will the start of much awaited UAAP season 75. All the teams are searching for the best player and hoping that they can win the title. In basketball, we are all excited if the ADMU Blue Eagles can defend their crown, while in volleyball can DLSU Lady Spikers defend their crown too. Then wait, watch and see.
